November 3, 2003Dear Friends,
Another year has flown by since we have contacted you with our annual fund plea. We want to thank you for your giving to this effort last year and to all of you that help us monthly. It seems like by the end of the year we are always in need of this boost in giving, as we are not yet getting enough support to meet the extra expenses that seem to show up every year. Haiti is also experiencing some increases in prices, which has caused and increase in our food prices.
The Haitian Orphans home is at full capacity with fifty children. The children are doing well and growing each day spiritually, physically, and in their pursuit of an education. Our school for grades 1-6 is doing well, as are the vocational programs that have been mad available to the older children.
The Cyphers have been doing a good job at the Orphanage and relate very well with the children. They have helped us upgrade the Orphanage to where it is in the best condition it has ever been. We still need to solve a drainage problem and we plan to start working on that project after the first of the year.
The Orphanage is well accepted in the community as many in the area attend the church there and we help the people with food, clothing and medicines.
These children would have had little or no hope for the future without this Orphanage. Now they have hope of a better life in the Orphanage and in the future, as they have been taught God’s word and given an education. Most Haitian children never have this opportunity, so we thank you for helping us to help these children.
Please consider a one-time gift to this work or a monthly gift. Your gift is tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Please mail your gift today in the enclosed envelope. Thank you and may the Lord bless you.
Yours in Christ,
