SYMPATHY
1915 LUCILLE BOWERS 2004
We express our heartfelt love and sympathy to Fred Bowers and to all the family of Lucille. She departed this life on Tuesday morning, November 9 after a long illness. Dwyane Dennis and Robert Perry conducted funeral services on the following Friday morning. Lucille was a member of this congregation for 77 years. For many of those years she was a Bible school teacher and was a servant in many other areas as well. At her funeral service we said that she epitomized everything that an elders's wife should be. She was one of Central's greatest assets and will be deeply missed.
AMONG FRIENDS
with Robert Prater
The holiday season is rapidly approaching. It seems unreal that Christmas decorations are already in place long before the Thanksgiving holiday has been observed. Thanksgiving and Christmas are family holidays, and it seems that even the most career-oriented person will shift their focus toward their families during this time of the year. The older I become, the more important family is to me. All that I have in this early life are my physical and spiritual families. They are the two most important things in my life. Yet, did you know that the holidays of thanksgiving and Christmas can be the most depressing and loneliest times of the year? Let's make sure that none in our spiritual family here at Central feel unloved and unwanted. Be warm and affectionate to your brothers and sisters in Christ. Express your love and gratitude to them.
Let's be sure and also extend our love and warmth to all our visitors here at Central. In a world that is large and often impersonal, the personal touch becomes especially meaningful. When someone takes the time to notice you and express an interest in you, it makes a big difference. The personal touch does not go unnoticed by those seeking a congregation to call "home." There is never a Sunday that passes by where we do not have visitors attending our services. May we always strive to be the most "friendliest" congregation in the brotherhood! Brethren, let's all make the extra effort to make everyone who comes though our doors feel loved, wanted and welcomed!

NURSERY ATTENDANTS
Beginning Sunday Central will be offering an attended nursery for infant's birth thru age 2 on Sunday mornings during the worship service. If you are willing to volunteer to serve on a regular rotation as a nursery attendant, please contact Barbara Vanlandingham.
THANK YOU
Dear Church Family,
In the past 18 months our life has been tried along with our faith. It is good that we can put our lives in God's care. The local congregation of Christians who meet at 10th & Bell has been our church home for over 60 years. During Lucille's passing, the prayers, visits, food, all the things a Christian can do for another have been done. Space will not allow the calling of names, but we love you all. I will always cherish the last time we met for the last service. Everything was wonderful. The right things were done and said. She is in the hands of a Just God. We love you all.
The Family of Lucille (Crosslin) Bowers
Church of Christ congregation, Thank you all so much for the flowers, the delicious meal, visits, and calls. Dwyane and Robert, thank you for the excellent service. Thanks for the beautiful songs.

PRAYER CONCERNS
When the Gospel Guide was prepared, Sarah Smith was in Integris Baptist Medical Center, room 968. She had stints implanted in one leg on Monday and an aneurysm repaired. She was to have stints implanted in the other leg on Tuesday and to possibly go home on Wednesday.
James Childers had to make a trip to the Emergency Room on Sunday. He seems to be doing all right at this time.
Cathy Pettyjohn received an optimistic report but will need some additional surgery.
Jearline Bates is doing well following cataract surgery.
Norma Edgmon's knee replacement surgery has been postponed due to a sinus infection. All of these people appreciate your prayers.
It was so good to see Fay Crosby able to be in worship on Sunday.
YOUTH NEWS
Bob Stephens
If you didn't make it to the hayride Saturday night, you missed out. About 50 folks braved the cool weather (no rain) to huddle around the camp fire and enjoy the fellowship.
Thank you to Dwyane and Marcia Dennis for having the teens over for dinner and a devo Sunday evening. Dwyane spoke to us about who is our neighbor with a real life experience. It gave us all something to think about.
Jason Perry and Austin Beard, along with the rest of the Shawnee football team, went to Altus Friday night for their first playoff game and came home victorious. Their next game will be in Tulsa this Friday night. Good Luck Guys!
