ADDITIONAL LEADERS FOR
CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST
This past Sunday morning brother Robert Perry announced the elders believe that this is an appropriate time for members to select additional men for leadership in our congregation. He told us that for the next three Sundays Robert Prater will bring lessons on the qualifications of elders and deacons. Soon after that the members of the congregation will be extended the opportunity to submit names of those they believe are in possession of these qualifications and would be gladly followed by the congregation. The elders will interview those who are most frequently suggested and submit their names to the congregation if they are willing to serve. Following that, after a brief period of prayerful consideration, if there are no disqualifying issues brought to light, they will be ordained. Please be praying for this effort which will have eternal consequences in choosing the path this congregation will follow for many years to come.

THANK YOU

PRAYER CONCERNS
We’re happy to report again that we have no Central members in the hospital to the best of our knowledge. It was great seeing Sarah and Larry Smith here Sunday with all their clan. We express our sympathy to Larry in the loss of his brother in Lindsay last week.
Jearline Bates’s daughter, Carolyn Richards, had two stints implanted in her heart last week. All went well, and she returned home the next day.

Youth News
Bob Stephens
Leadership Training for Christ 2005, may be over for this year but the experience will never be over! The learning, the new skills attained and the passion to serve God will remain for a life time. As always, the Central kids did their best in putting God first in their efforts this year. We had seventeen 3rd – 12th graders to LTC this year. They were: Courtney Baskin, Wade Baskin, Austin Beard, Chad Beard, Mykah Bourne, Leslie Gettle, Molly Gettle, Nathan Kelly, Marla Miller, Kayla Miller, Arik Parman, Kyle Parman, Ryan Parman, Sean Parman, Jason Perry, Andy Stephens and Matt Stephens. The projects they worked on included: Bulletin Boards, Bible Reading, Christian Art, Service Challenge, Bible Bowl, Bible Quiz, Scrapbook, Chorus, Puppets, Drama, Sermon Delivery and Song Leading.
Sunday the teens were asked to list their top 3 favorite things about LTC. I thought you might like to hear their comments: Being around everyone; Drama; Watching the sermon delivery; When we finished; Ability to speak in front of a group better; Being with others who like to worship God; Watching and encouraging others; Doing the thing I had to do; The big LTC devotional on Friday night; Sermon Delivery Song Leading; Chorus; Having something to do; Everyone joining together to worship God; The fact that kids come from everywhere to praise God; Puppets; Seeing friends; Growing and learning;
Wow! They get it! When you see the positive impact LTC has on their lives we can’t help but be grateful to God for this opportunity.
I also want to thank all those that helped with LTC this year, coaches, parents and all those who took care of our needs. Your patience, experience and love has truly helped the growth in these young people. We couldn’t go to LTC, no, we wouldn’t have strong young Christians if it weren’t for you. God Bless You.
