We extend our loving sympathy to the family of Geneva Green. Geneva passed away early Sunday morning, and funeral services are to be conducted by Dwyane Dennis on Friday afternoon at two at Resthaven Funeral Chapel. Geneva was a faithful Christian and a longtime member at Central.
1911 RUTH NEVILLS 2005
We also extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Ruth Nevills who departed this life on Friday morning in Oklahoma City. Graveside funeral services were conducted by Robert Perry on Monday afternoon at Fairview Cemetery. Ruth was a devoted mother and Christian and was a member at Central for many years.
We extend our loving sympathy to James Childers in the loss of his sister, Bessie Limke, who passed away Sunday morning in an Oklahoma City hospital.
We express our sympathy to Sarah Smith in the loss of her nephew John Lesley Hamilton. He passed away on Monday morning in Smithville, Tennessee.
RESTORATION/MEMBERSHIP
Pat Copeland responded Sunday evening seeking to be restored to Christ and the church. She would also like to be identified as a member at Central. Pat is the sister of Bill and Glendon Combs. She has moved here from Tecumseh and now lives at the Aldridge Apartments, 20 E. 9th #202. Her phone number is 317-8093. Let's all be sure to welcome her and encourage her as she strives to rededicate her life to the Lord and His church.
AMONG FRIENDS

The Guiness Book of World Records lists as greatest weight ever lifted by a human being as 6,270 pounds. This was done on June 12, 1957, in a back lift by a 365-pound man name Paul Anderson. He was the 1956 Olympic heavyweight champion from Georgia. By comparison, the heaviest Rolls Royce weighs 5,600 pounds.
We are in awe of such physical power and yet we often find ourselves becoming so weak and faint-hearted on the inside. This was the point of Paul's prayer for the Ephesians. The apostle stated that he had asked for the Father in heaven to "strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." (Eph. 3:16-18 NIV)
The Greek word for power is "dunamis" from which we get our word "dynamite." So Paul is praying that by God's dynamic power we might be strengthened inside and that Christ may dwell deeply in our hearts through faith. We need to be strengthened with all power because on our own we come short of the glory of God. The apostle John described the spiritual state of some young men by saying, "you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one." (1 Jn. 2:14)
Friends, the Spirit, Christ and God's Word all inwardly give us tremendous strength and courage in living the Christian life. So even though we may not be able to lift three tons, we have available to us awesome power to help us be spiritually strong. (Read Isaiah 40:28-31 for another passage on strength)

SUNDAY EVENING TIME CHANGE
It was announced this past Sunday that beginning on December 4 our Sunday evening services will begin at 5. It is felt that this will be an advantage for a number of our members. It's something that has been under consideration for a long time, and our elders believe this will be a good time to make the transition. Let's all remember the date and be here at 5.

Janice Gardner now lives at 32 Father Joe Murphy Dr., Shawnee, OK 74801. Crystal Gray and Alisha Myrick have moved to Meeker.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Our greatest need for the December 3rd coat giveaway at this time is helpers. If you can help that day, please indicate that on the signup sheet on the table in the foyer. There is also a need for children's coats, sizes 1 - 6 and for ladies' coats sizes 14 - 18.
NEW SONGBOOKS
If you were in worship this past Sunday, you couldn't help but notice our new songbooks since the old ones were so thoroughly worn. This is the same book as before with 90 additional songs in the back. Occasionally there will be a book with a flaw, loose or missing pages, etc. If you find such a book, please turn it in, and we can get it replaced by the publisher.

Phyllis Heald remains in Solara Hospital, room 220.
Marlene Wadkins was discharged from Baptist Medical Center on Friday and is now with her daughter, Debbie Warden, 502 Queensboro Pl., Yukon, OK 73099. The phone number is 354-7822 (local call). Marlene would be happy to hear from you.
Bernard Sharp will have back surgery at Mercy Health Center on Friday afternoon. He appreciates your prayers.
