Pam Sullivan writes that 2003 was a different year, one laden with changes and challenges. But it has also been one of a stronger realization of God's great blessings, their family, friends, health, and ability to work and serve. Their daughter, Kendra, graduated from high school and is now enrolled at Oklahoma Christian University. After the passing of Larry's father, Don Sullivan, Larry stayed for a while to help his mother move from North Dakota to Edmond, Oklahoma. He returned in the fall filled with a new training program, two gospel meetings, and the annual trip to Bulgaria. There were five baptisms in 2003 and the addition of two newborns. Some moved to other cities to find work because of the poor economy in Chemnitz at the moment. Two very capable young men, Alex Bartsch and Steffen Pietsch are involved in extensive training to be more equipped to help serve the congregation in Chemnitz.
At the close, Pam writes, "We are appreciative for all of you who work together with us in the Lord's work in Chemnitz. We treasure your encouraging words, prayers, thoughts, and concerns. Our prayer is that we can continue during 2004 to be united in this effort." In His love, Larry, Pam, Kendra, and Kris Sullivan
ANNUAL LEADERSHIP DINNER
TO BE AT SEMINOLE, MARCH 12
Elders, deacons, preachers, and other church leaders and their wives are invited to attend at 6 p.m. at the new Seminole building, 4200 Highway 99 North. In addition to an evening of food and good fellowship, we will be privileged to hear Dr. John deSteiguer's inspiring message. As always congregations will be invited to share their news with others. Cost for the dinner will be from $7 to $8 per person. In order for them to have an accurate count, we need to call them no later than March 8 to tell them how many to expect from Central. Our church office will be getting in touch with the appropriate people from Central so we may help them with the count.
SATURDAY NIGHT SINGING
There will be an area-wide singing at Seminole on Saturday evening, February 21, from 7 to 9. In their invitation they say, "Don't let winter get you down! Join us in singing praises to God instead!...We'll sing some new songs and some old familiar songs. Any man is welcome to lead a song or two, if he chooses. Refreshments will be served." Their new building is located at 4200 Highway 99 North. For directions or other information: 405-382-0548.
We will be publishing a new pocketsize directory of Central's membership in the near future. We did not publish one in 2003 because we had just received our pictorial directory. If you have had a change in your e-mail address or phone number, please write these or any other changes you think we might not be aware of on the back of your Sunday morning attendance card.
