1903 ELIZABETH GARBE 2004
We express our loving sympathy to Carol Mahnke in the loss of her mother and to all the family of Elizabeth Garbe. Elizabeth was a devoted and faithful child of God who lived most of her life in Guthrie. Central was greatly blessed in having her here for the past number of years, and we were privileged to celebrate her 100th birthday with her a few months ago. Elizabeth departed this life on Tuesday, June 22, and funeral services were conducted the following Monday morning at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. The interment was in Guthrie Monday afternoon.
1925 VIRGINIA PENDLETON 2004
Our congregation was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing away of Virginia Pendleton on Sunday evening, June 27 while visiting in Loveland, Colorado. We express our deepest sympathy to her husband Albert and to her daughter, Mary Snider. Funeral services are pending with Walker Funeral Service. It is unlikely that the service will be before July 6. Albert and "Ginger" have been pillars of the Central congregation for many years with Albert serving as one of our deacons. Ginger was a loving, caring, and giving person. Her influence for good at Central and in her family will not soon be forgotten.
We express our sympathy to Lola Mullinax and Gene and Dorothy Norton in the loss of Lola and Gene's cousin Wayne Cozart. He passed away in Tulsa last week, and funeral services were conducted this past Monday at the Broken Arrow Church of Christ building.
"I thank my God for every remembrance of you." Phillipians 1:3. Dear Central Church of Christ, Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness at the senior banquet [reception]. Thank you for the Bible. I know that it will come in handy in the next few years of my life. I love all of you and thank you for everything. In love,
Zachary Taylor Qualls
Thank you so much for the cards, calls, visits, and prayers while I was in the hospital. I love and appreciate you all so very much. Kathryn Shields
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, It's been a great honour getting to know y'all. We wanna thank the wonderful people who showed us the Lord and the teachers who taught us the many things we had to learn as new Christians. Thanks for your friendship, your kindness, for how you encouraged and comforted us. We loved every minute we spent with you. No matter where we go, we'll bring the good news to those who want to hear.
This is not a farewell, but a "goodbye and see y'all soon." Love you guys!

Editor's Note: In case you didn't know, this couple speaks five languages. That Oklahoma accent thrown into this lovely note was not by accident. For the present they are in Antwerp, Belgium. They may eventually make their home in Spain until they are allowed back in this country as permanent residents. Why not send them an e-mail today at email@example.com
The address for Lloyd Lofties has changed to P.O. Box 831, Guymon, OK 73942. He would love to hear from you.

Vivian Cross had surgery at Oklahoma Surgical Center on Friday of last week. All went well, and Vivian returned home the following Sunday afternoon.
Arik Parman, son of Lori Farris, had an emergency appendectomy on Monday afternoon of last week at Unity North. He was not discharged until the following Friday.
Louise Honaker is scheduled to have knee replacement surgery at Unity North on Wednesday, July 7.
Inez McNutt has learned that her cancer is also in the bone. She is expected to start chemotherapy treatment sometime next week.
Bill Fleming has had another blood transfusion.
Bill Fleming has had a number of blood transfusions recently and will probably continue to need them frequently for a while. When you donate blood through the Oklahoma Blood Institute, you may do so in the name of this congregation, and it will benefit the needs of other members as well as your own for the remainder of the year. You may also donate for the needs of a specific individual such as Bill. If you are interested in helping this way, there will be a blood drive at the Shawnee Mall on Saturday, July 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
