Bulletin for Sunday 01/30/2005

1913 Ola Fitzwater 2005

We express our sincere sympathy to the family of Ola Fitzwater who passed away on Saturday in Seminole. Ola was a faithful member of this congregation for a long time and will be missed by many. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.

1944 Judith Bell 2005

In the short time Judy was a member at Central, she made many friends and became involved in such things as Ladies Bible Class and the coat distributions. She was a lovely lady, and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to her daughters and all the family. Graveside services were held on Thursday afternoon at Tecumseh Cemetery with Dwyane Dennis officiating.

We also offer our sympathy to Sarah Kessler, bride-elect of Billy Lawerance, in the loss of her grandmother, Gladys Cook. Funeral services were conducted in Edmond on Monday afternoon.

Hearts rejoiced this past Sunday morning when Molly Gettle put on her Lord in baptism. Molly is the daughter of Tracy and Mary Gettle.

Dear Christian Friends, Thank you so much for all the visits, calls, and most of all your prayers while James was in the hospital. It is such a wonderful feeling to know we have such caring friends and brethren when we are in need. In Christian love,James & Ellen [Childers]

Youth News

Bob Stephens

What a blessed day Sunday was! Molly Gettle made the decision to put Christ on in baptism Sunday morning. We are very proud of her in her choice to follow God. Let's keep Molly in our prayers as she starts her new walk as a Christian!

Congratulations to Matt and Andy Stephens. Their Tecumseh basketball team competed in the Pott. County Tournament this past week. Matt and Andy's team won the championship game on Saturday night. Way to go fellas! I would like to personally thank all the Central members who came out to support Matt and Andy and their ball team.

We have many kids involved in lots of spring activities at school right now. Hannah Farris, Ryan Parman, Courtney Baskin and Austin Beard are all participating in track this spring. Leslie Gettle is playing soccer. All of our kids stay very busy with their school activities, but they're never to busy to serve God., I'm proud of all the Central Youth for the love they show for God and their willingness to serve Him.

February 13th we will be going to Norman for the day (more or less). The Area-wide Teen Gathering is at the Westside church. But first we are going to the OU Women's basketball game at 2 p.m., then back to Westside for dinner and worship. The cost for the game is $3.00 and needs to be paid by January 30th. Any questions, ask me.
