Bulletin for Sunday Sunday 07/02/2006

AMONG FRIENDS

Our 2006 Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 17-21, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. We will also once again have a special concluding Friday Night Open House program at 7:00 p.m. for all children, family, friends, and members to attend. The theme for this year's VBS is GOD'S ALL-STARS-Be on the winning Team! We'll be looking each day at some of the heroes and champions of the faith found in Hebrews 11 that teach some important characteristics of true, genuine, Biblical faith.

At Central, we want to GO ALL OUT on making VBS a meaningful and memorable event. Each day during VBS students will experience a dramatic telling of a Bible story with awesome costumes, incredible props and even "special effects" that will help the children learn and remember the Bible stories. There will also be lots of wonderful singing, puppets, outstanding Bible class times, refreshments and games, arts and crafts, and lots more fun! So many are working hard preparing for our VBS.

Friends please remember, VBS serves as a tremendous teaching tool for our children and as an excellent way of outreach to the community. If your friends, family members, co-workers or neighbors have young children, please consider giving them a personal invitation to attend this year's VBS. Soon there will be some 5 x 8 invitation post cards on the table in the foyer to use. If mailing they will require a first class postage of 39 cents. Also, if any children need help with transportation please let myself or the church office know ASAP. Also, beginning on July 2, there will be VBS enrollment forms on the table in the foyer. We'll need to pre-enroll all your children, grandchildren, and any visitors that you will be bringing.

If you would still like to be involved in a part of this VBS in some way, please contact me and I'll find an area of work for you to help. Let's all continue to pray and work together towards making our VBS a tremendous success.
