Bulletin for Sunday 08/05/2007
1932 Charles A. “Buddy” Truesdell 2007
We extend our love to Fay Truesdell and all the family of Buddy Truesdell. Buddy was the brother of Mary Jo Fleming and the uncle of Debbie Taffe. He was a devoted servant and deacon of our congregation. He loved the church and served her in many ways. Funeral services were conducted by Dwyane Dennis on Monday morning in our building. We will miss Buddy’s song.

We want to offer our great appreciation and a most heartfelt “job well done” to our own Bob Seikel for writing Central’s history book on the occasion of our Centennial anniversary. We are incredibly indebted to him for undertaking this enormous and daunting task. He spent countless and endless hours tracking down sources and researching and checking historical documents that pertained to Central’s history. His book is written in such a detailed yet warm, and easy-to-read style. Thank you Bob!
Let’s also remember the Ice Cream Bash (social) coming up this Saturday in Woodland Park from 5-8 p.m. we are anticipating several of our VBS visitors to attend. There will be plenty of sweets, fun, and good quality fellowship time to enjoy for all ages. Please support this event with your attendance and feel free to invite a friend. Friends, the work of saving souls must always be foremost in our hearts and minds. We should support every effort to reach the lost with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for the many here at Central who are willing to be personally involved in working in the Lord’s kingdom.
Finally, our hearts are filled with sorrow at the loss of our dear brother Buddy Truesdell who passed on to be with the Lord. Our sympathy goes to his wife Fay and the entire family. Buddy was a longtime member of Central and loved this church dearly. He served as a faithful deacon for a number of years and was a key individual in many of the works of service for the congregation including the Centennial Committee. He was a wonderful Christian man and we will deeply miss him. We are grateful for all the sacrifice and hard work of those who have gone before, men and women who have provided for our needs today. The Lord bless them.
The Wednesday night Ladies Bible Class is dismissed for the rest of the summer. It will resume on September 5. The Wednesday morning Ladies Bible Class will resume on September 12.
On Saturday, August 4, we will have an ice cream social in Woodland Park from 5 til 8. The social is for all members as well as an outreach for our visitors from VBS. We hope Central is well represented. Any questions – see Geoff or Carolyn Root.
CENTRAL’S CENTENNIAL HISTORY BOOK
There were copies of our centennial book that were made available beginning last Sunday. One is free to each family that is listed in our membership directory. Other copies are available for a cost of $3.00 which is the cost of printing the book.

HOMECOMING INVITATION LIST
Our Centennial Homecoming is fast approaching, and we are compiling a list of former members and friends to receive an invitation. An invitation from you personally would be the most appealing in many instances, but we will also send invitations from the church to those for whom we have names and addresses. Please be thinking about this and turn the information in to the church office as soon as possible.
To Our Christian Family, Thank you so much for the prayers, cards, calls, and food before and since my surgery. We appreciate and love you all.
