Family News
By Jimmy Hyde

Well, we had another great Lordís day this past Sunday. I want to thank all of those who helped make our fellowship meal a big success. The food was great. Mmmm, sopapilla cheesecake desert. Wow! Thank you Abbie Cross, Angie Gober, and Tami Perry for hosting our fellowship meal.Keep praying for the Hyde home to sell in Bartlesville. God has a plan.

Congratulations

We now have a new secretary; Michelle McKnight. We want to congratulate her for accepting this new adventure. May God bless her as she serves our church family. Also congratulations to the proud parents to be Alex and Austin Beard. They are expecting in March. Matt and Lindsey Borcherding are expecting in early October. We also want to extend our congratulations to Chris and Kelsy Nipper who just had a baby boy, Daylan. There may be more that Iím not aware of. May God bless our families with young children.

Be on the Lookout!

Itís amazing how God works. Sometimes I donít see His work until itís done. Other times I see glimpsesí of Him at work. I see many opportunities all around us to do Godís work here at Central. God is blessing us with people we can serve. Some are dealing with health problems, others are dealing with spiritual or even everyday life problems. So letís be on the lookout for opportunities to do Godís work. I donít say this by my own authority and this may sound strange but, I command you to do good church family. May God continue to bless us as we do His will.

ďCommand them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.Ē 1 Tim 6:18-19 NIV

Youth News
Nathan Kelly

Well the youth group had a busy week. I've already talked about the float trip, but we also had a lock-in in Bixby on the same week. I'm sure everyone was exhausted. Well, I know they did because I got put a picture on social media as proof. It was great to see the familiar faces of camp friends over the weekend though. I think it was a great uplift for the youth group and I hope it encouraged them to keep in touch even more. I would like to say that I stayed up all night but my wife wouldn't let me. She seemed to think the kids safety was more important. I guess she was right. I would also like to call out Adam Park for speaking up at the AWTG. He answered a question about Peter and got it right. We all know that he isn't a shy kid, but I was impressed to see one of the youngest member of our group that night speak up.††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††

Things are starting to slow down as far as actives go, but that's just the opposite for the kids. School is starting up. I ask that you say a little prayer for them with this upcoming school year. We have a great group and they know it. They can still use encouragement, as can we all. So my prayer is that they will be that Christian example that has gone missing in public schools and that they won't let the world influence them. I know its a hard talk and I know they will stumble at times, but that's where we all can come in. Continue to show them the support they need. Parents, I also ask that you encourage the youth group to stay involved. There are more distractions now that school is starting and less down time for friends. The challenge goes for me, too, to keep them involved. I have some ideas already, but I'm always open for suggestions. Good luck and I'm not jealous about going to school.

See You Sunday!
